I can't believe that the 'smaller' clubs are in favour of this. You play all season, get fourth place, then whichever one of the usual suspects you've displaced gets a second chance. Are these clubs so stupid that they can't see that referees will be told to ensure who wins any play-off.
Surely the referees would have been told at the beginning of the season who had to finish in the top four to stop these conspiracy theories....

The injury to Aaron Ramsey is sickening. It seems to happen a lot to Arsenal's players, Diaby, Eduardo and now Ramsey.
Arsene Wenger and Cesc Fabregas are understandably angry and distressed about the injury to Aaron today. Three serious injuries to Arsenal players in the space of five years is either desperately unlucky or there's something more sinister at work. But I can't believe that footballers would deliberately set out to injure a fellow professional. I'd be horrified if that was the case.
Arsenal have the ability to play at such a high level to anyone else, that teams feel the need to be more physical in challenges against them to stop them playing. But I can't believe that Shawcross deliberately set out to injure Ramsey, its very unfortunate, but injuries happen in sports. I wish Aaron Ramsey all the best and hope to see him return, its always a pleasure to watch talented footballers, whichever club they play for.
John Terry got the response he must have expected with Wayne Bridge, he was never gonna get a handshake...!!!!! I bet Bridge wanted to punch him instead!!!!!

I see Arsene Wenger was at again,bringing up the old Martin Taylor thing before the Blues game again. What a pleasure it was therefore to take two points off their title push. Honestly I just get sick and tired of Arsene Whinger making excuses about pitches and players DARING to tackle his precious charges when in fact on the day they simply weren't good enough to beat us. Does the guy ever stop moaning, at least it gave us 90 minutes of piss taking of the prat.His habit of coming to the edge of the technical area and throwing up his arms in exasperation at every decision that didn't go his way certainly made for a source of amusement amongst us Blues fans though!

Is Roy Hodgson made from the same stone as Bobby Robson?
It seems to me that nobody in football appears to have a bad word to say about Roy and this applies to most supporters as well.
I like the way he doesn't get carried away with results, even after a loss, as long as he can see that his team is improving. Also, his gentlemanly behaviour in post match interviews where he uses the word 'disappointing' to mean that he is actually furious with a decision, made by an official, that has gone against his team.
Other manager ranters please note. You can get your message across without looking like a dick.

I think Liverpool will turn to him when Benitez finally packs his bags at the end of the season. If you just think for a second that in a few weeks Fulham could be in a european final then you realise how far he has taken them ie from the brink of relegation. As for your last couple of sentences - if only they would how much better would it be, it's not even entertaining anymore just embarrasing.

I agree wholeheartedly that Hodgson is more than capable of doing the job at Anfield and would be a very sensible choice (his record is virtually impeccable) but i doubt he'll get the post.
You have to take into account the two clowns that are running the club, "Waldorf and Statler" will want someone more high profile than Hodgson if Benitez leaves, as he surely will. Don't forget Mourinho will by his own admission be available this summer, he's already stated a preference for the Premiership and unless Fergie retires (not a hope) or Man City sack Mancini, (possible, but unlikely) Anfield would be an obvious destination.
(Personally i'd have Jose back at the Bridge in a heartbeat, but that's even less likely than Fergie retiring
)
