and I wouldn't descibe biting people on 3 seperate occasions as nothing either. The cretin was lucky to get such a short ban for the 3rd offence. A season long ban might have made him think twice before having a bite in the future. It bothers me that apologists feel he has been harshly treated

If it hadn't happened at the World Cup he probably wouldn't have been punished as harshly at initially he was. The stadium ban and not being able to train with his team mates was harsh and the judgement that CAS has made is probably about right

Considering Chiellini said the punishment was harsh, then I would also agree with him, fair would be banning him for Uruguay for 8 games or the Copa America in Chile next year not Barca, was nothing to do with them.

I guess it is fair for him to be allowed to train so that once the ban is completed he will be ready to play, otherwise its like being punished beyond the actual imposition. I just hope he has learnt his lesson.

Whether the punishment is considered adequate or not, I wouldn't describe 20 matches as a 'short' ban.
