I was watching Jay Leno's Garage earlier on and Dan Akroyd was a guest on a segment that involved them both driving the Ecto-1 car from the remake.Mid conversation it was revealed that Leno had auditioned for and nearly got the role of Louis Tully which eventually went to Rick Moranis.

The G1 Transformers Toys weren’t originally Transformers Hasbro bought the rights Off Japanese company Takara, Hasbro then changed the colours of the robots, gave them names and called one set the Autobots and other set Decepticons the rest is history.

Kirk Douglas was originally cast as Colonel Trautman in First Blood(1982)but due to his ideas for changes in the script that included himself actually taking on the sheriff's department with Rambo,he was replaced by Richard Crenna at a day's notice.
