Daley Thompson's Decathlon. Great game but you needed to time races with your manic fingers going flat out AND for field events timing was everything.

I had this on the Amstrad CPC 464 with a green screen monitor.
Great game but I broke many a joystick playing it.Smile

Watching the UFO tv series on forces tv reminded me of the UFO Interceptor I had as a boy. The series was a bit before my time and I had the toy second hand. I remember the release that fired the rocket had a really stiff spring that was near lethal if you caught your finger in it.eek

Yes I had the UFO interceptor as well...and yes I have a painful memory of the damn spring on the thing annoyed

I had the mobile vehicle as well. Both of those items ended up in a jumble sale years ago.

(Got SHADO mobile no tracks, had the Interceptor, still got Straker's Car)

Will post a video of it moving shortly(Straker's Car on lino)
Computer game pt3 HyperSports. Now this was a mixture of all types of different sports and each wasn't as easy as it looked.

Incidentally if you've seen a program called Black Mirror by Charlie Brooker one of the episodes was called BANDERSNATCH. Now I am convinced that not only was that mentioned in Jabberwocky by Edward Lear BUT it is also a failed computer game idea that was mooted by IMAGINE software-they collapsed after that-the other one was called PSYCLAPSE.

This was done a few years ago and the man in the video is my Dad. The Ed Straker car is pulled back by scraping the back wheels backwards until the built-in spring or flywheel is tight and then they impel the car forward-it shot across the kitchen lino albeit not quite straight.
