we either need to build on the lead to win and draw the series even though the Ashes are gone), or we capitulate...again
Which England response will it be?

Slight tangent here folks, but did I here correctly, that England's forthcoming tour (to NZ I believe) - and the Test Matches contained therein, is to be an experimental tour, with no points in the Test Championship at stake?? I hope I dreamt it!!

Test Cricket is done if we start allowing the option for nations to unilaterally organise such a completely nonsensical and meaningless series between each other - they are meaningless enough as it is! I see the introduction of ICC approved 4 day matches (definitively NOT Tests) in the same light, along with these 2 match series non entities!

Great day! Good friends, great weather, a few beers and gins and England batted through the whole day topped off with chants of “stand up if you love Jack Leach”

Glad to hear it mate i reckon 290 to 320 might be a stiff enough target for the Aussies to chase tomorrow

Watch a fair degree of CC cricket via the clubs' own web feeds (should charge and tell the ECB where to stick their 'so - called' handout **it isn't**), but I confess, I hadn't picked J Leach as an option for the spinner role, much less a lower order batsman with more than a reasonable technique, shot range and plenty of ticker!! Should feature regularly going forward!!
