https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2021/jul/27/police-chiefs-condemn-boris-johnsons-plan-as-weird-and-gimmicky

So the people who would have to implement this stuff think it's a bad plan, do the Tories have a clue...about anything.

Quote:Permanently relaxing conditions on the use of section 60 stop and search powers for police to tackle knife crime.

Expanding the use of electronic monitoring for thieves upon release from prison.

Trialing the use of alcohol tags – which detect alcohol in the sweat of offenders guilty of drink-fuelled crime – on prison leavers in Wales.

Making unpaid work “more visible” by getting offenders to clean streets and open spaces.

The Secret Barrister has tweeted that today he was prosecuting a burglar. The offence was committed in 2018 & the trial is set for summer 2022. He makes the point that as Boris and colleagues have defunded the criminal justice system there has never been a better time to be a criminsl

According to his spokesperson he’s working and not on holiday. I don’t care if he’s on holiday but detest him lying about it annoyed

Boris is half way through his cabinet reshuffle. Dominic Raab been removed as Foreign Secretary (but he's been made Deputy Prime Minister & Lord Chancellor). It's supposed that Liz Truss will get his old job.

Michael Gove is in with Boris at the moment, he's already been given the task of saving Christmas (unoffical title)
