Chiefs 28 - 7 Commanders
The Commanders will rue a number of missed opportunities in the 1st half which was level at 7 - 7 after a spectacular TD reception by McLaurin late in the half after the Chiefs scored first with a 1 yard Hunt run.
Mariota impressed & the Commanders moved into Chiefs territory regularly but lost possession with an interception & turned the ball over on downs when they were pushing for TD's rather than settling for field goals.
In the 2nd half the Chiefs raised the intensity, they racked up 148 yards on the ground with Pacheco, Hunt & Mahomes & just shy of 300 through the air, Rice had 9 catches for 93 yards & a TD, Kelce had 6-99 & a TD which was his 83rd & ties with Priest Holmes for the Chiefs franchise record touchdowns.

Miami moved the ball in the 1st half but had to settle for field goals, the pattern continued throughout the game & a Dolphins fumble deep in Ravens territory summed up a misfiring team as they were shut out in the 2nd half. The Dolphins are in freefall.
Jackson looked like he had been away with 4 TD's, & Henry had a 100 yard game, this is what you expect from the Ravens who are getting players back & now only a game back from the Steelers who have lost their last 2 games. Written off by some the Ravens must surely be favourites now to win the AFC North

That'll do very nicely ravens was a little worried with the short turn around and the traveling it would end up being closer than the winning margin

Surprise defeats for Green Bay Packers at home to the Carolina Panthers and for the Indianapolis Colts at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Some pretty close games elsewhere too with New England Patriots edging out the Atlanta Falcons 24-23 while the Minnesota Vikings narrowly beat Detroit Lions 27-24.
Denver Broncos recovered to overcome Houston Texans 18-15.

Commanders 14 - 38 Seahawks
Despite a TD run from Jayden Daniels inside the 2 minute warning, the game was all but over by halftime (7-31). Darnold was a perfect 16/16 for 282 yards & 4 TDs. The game swung heavily in the Seahawks favour in the 2nd quarter after Horton had a second TD catch of the game, the Commanders immediately turned the ball over on the first play of their next drive & Darnold connected with Arroyo for a 26 yard TD on the following play.
The 3rd quarter saw the Seahawks extend their lead with a short Barner TD run & Rodriguez had a 4 yard TD run for the Commanders in the 4tn quarter.
Daniels came under constant pressure & was sacked 4 times as the Commanders had a nett total of 133 passing yards. Daniels had 51 yards on 10 carries & a TD, most of his runs were off-script scrambles as he tried to escape the pass rush & a result of great coverage downfield.
The Commanders did manage 157 yards rushing, had more offensive plays 7 a greater time of possession than the Seahawks, but it added up the very little in terms of sustained drives & points scored.
On the flipside the Seahawks were clinical & efficient. Prior to the game the Commanders weakness against the run had been highlighted & in an attempt to improve their run defence they committed more players close to the line of scrimmage which often resulted inman coverage & wide open receivers.
Darnold is displaying the poise & maturity that he showed for the Vikings in the regular season, the Seahawks will hope that he performs better in the playoffs for them this season after a poor show for the Vikings.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba had his 6th 100 yard game this season, he lead the league in that category with 948 yards through 8 games.

Cowboys 17 - 27 Cardinals
The usually high scoring Cowboys were kept in check by the Cards defence & they created 3 turnovers. Cards QB Jacoby Brissett was impressive & with Kyler Murrey set to return he will be under pressure after being out performed by Brissett this season.
