Spot on, Lancashire & Greater Manchester been in tier two since July/August & cases etc are still going up. Good on him for standing up to the government.

Love the government accusing Andy Burnham of playing politics when that’s exactly what they’re doing

One restaurant in London “The Wolseley” had 2500 cancellations on Friday/Saturday for bookings through the next few weeks. That was 9000 diners and in Tier 2 there is no financial help for them at all.

Johnson has lost sight of the people in this crisis - both the ill and the employed. No wonder all these people are ignoring the regulations.

Fully agree, shows just how incompetent he is

So the goverment still hasn't an agreement with the Manchester council.

The lastest figures that I'm seeing from in Manchester is 404 per 100000. They are down 243 in total to last week.

^^
That’s good to hear and more reason for Andy Burnham to keep on resisting putting greater manchester into tier 3

Well it’s all going to kick off as the Government says Andy Burnham & the leaders of Gtr Manchester have till noon tomorrow to reach a deal and there’s controversy over the stats the government is putting out about the NHS in gtr Manchester

The Government has given the Greater Manchester council till noon to accept their offer, if not they will impose a lockdown.

Andy Burnham wants more than the £8 per person in compensation.

Local hospitals have been told by NHS England not to give out local figures which show that there is lots of capacity in the hospitals.
