I only decided to do it yesterday but from now on I'm gonna do the same maybe between Monday & Wednesday rather than Saturday afternoon. UFC 144: Edgar vs. Henderson Just like in the World Cup the Japanese fans were way too quiet for my liking. I didn't expect Anthony Pettis to finish Joe Lauzon if I'm honest but it sets up a great title match. Hatsu Hioki looked decent where as Yushin Okami only has himself to blame, even I wouldn't have let Tim Boetsch hold me against the fence with one hand whilst punching me with the other & not try to move away. Sexyama looked good early on especially with his defence but he didn't even try to attack although his Judo sweeps are something else. Cheick Kongo is the biggest disappointment in the sport well maybe alongside Dan Hardy.... & the moden day Rampage who I think is just fighting off his name onwadays, that said it was a good win for Ryan Bader who I think is improving all the time & could be in a title shot within the next year. Benson Henderson controlled the title fight with ease I would say & never looked like he was gonna lose & now probably gets to face the man who brought an end to his 10 fight win streak Anthony Pettis, this fight excites the fuck out of me!!! Knock knock, who's there? It's Issei Tamura, good night! I've never heard of him but on this performance I like him, hats off to Brummie Vaughan Lee (Superstar name) for a great fight & win & becoming the first fighter to submit Narifumi Yamamoto in his 25 fights. Narifumi Yamamoto v Vaughn Lee http://www.mma-core.com/videos/fights/Vaughan_Lee_vs_Norifumi_Kid_Yamamoto_UFC_144/10027004 Bonus awards Fighters were awarded $65,000 bonuses. Fight of the Night: Frankie Edgar v Ben Henderson Knockout of the Night: Anthony Pettis Submission of the Night: Vaughan Lee I'll do the Grand Prix table tomorrow as there's a big match I'll be watching in 16min. RE: UFC - TDK2008 - 27-02-2012 11:16 I watched UFC 144: Edgar vs. Henderson live because of the main event and the main card, it was worth staying up for. Great show. Heavyweight Title fight should be the main event. RE: UFC - mitchell - 28-02-2012 21:08 Duffee, Prangley, Kelly and Others Sign with India’s Super Fight League India’s Super Fight League has announced the signings of several former UFC and Strikeforce fighters including Todd Duffee, Paul Kelly and Trevor Prangley. The promotion will hold their first show on March 11 from India with the main event featuring former Elite XC fighter James Thompson against Bob Sapp. The new signings announced on Monday include heavyweight Todd Duffee, who holds one of the fastest knockouts in UFC history with his win over Tim Hague. Duffee has been out of action dealing with injuries since his loss to current UFC contender Alistair Overeem at the close of 2010, and missed fighting at all in 2011. Now he’ll return to action as a part of the Super Fight League in 2012. Also announced on Monday were new fight deals with former Strikeforce competitor Trevor Prangley, former UFC lightweight Paul Kelly, middleweight fighter Xavier ‘Professor X’ Foupa-Pokam, Lena Ovchynnikova and Baga Agaev. All of the new fighters signed four fight deals with the promotion with bouts expected to take place starting in 2012. Most of the fighters on the first card are from Indai with some from Sri Lanka UFC 146 card looks like this. Jason Miller v C.B. Dollaway Dan Hardy v Duane Ludwig Jacob Volkmann v Paul Sass Darren Elkins v Diego Brandao Gabriel Gonzaga v Shane del Rosario Kyle Kingsbury v Glover Teixeira Bouts in the works include: Junior dos Santos v Alistair Overeem Edson Barboza v Evan Dunham I can't wait to see Paul Sass fight again & Dan Hardy should have a good chance of a win as Duane Ludwid is a stand up fighter. UFC on FX: Alves vs. Kampmann post & PM's will be up & sent tomorrow, the show is in Australia & will be on ESPN 3am Friday/Saturday |
