When Bing Crosby and David Bowie recorded The Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth, Bing had no idea who David Bowie was.
The last actual Christmas song to mention Merry Christmas was in 1985 by Shakin' Stevens.
The last few years has had no mention of Christmas in the title nor any relation to Christmas at all.

If you suddenly get up to do something and then forget, walk backwards and you should remember.
The reason why you suddenly remember why you ran up the stairs for something is the higher upstairs you go, the more oxygen levels you get and that triggers endorphins which makes you feel good, but also helps with memory. Might also explain why when downstairs you feel tired and yawn, yet going up to bed you then find yourself suddenly feeling more awake. A blow on the head with a mallet might help you sleep better
