I think mixed doubles sprint event should be included in the cycling programne.
Jason Kenny and Laura Trott would kick ass Big Grin.
And the chemistry between them would possibly be an advantage too. Guaranteed gold.

Sort it out IOC Wink

Major cock up by Cavendish there but some big names were eliminated early in the race.

Great match and i don't even think Tennis should be an Olympic sport, Tennis players are remembered for how many grand slams they win not how many Olympic gold medals they win, so credit to both players for the amount of effort they are putting in

Congrats Murray, like him or not he is a great player

RE: Olympics - Snooks - 15-08-2016 00:17

That really was a phenomenal match.
The embrace at the end and the clearly evident emotions as both men sat in their chairs at the end spoke volumes.
It was played in such good spirit and the crowd responded to a level of play that was at times truly mind boggling.
Both men fought so hard.

Double Olympic champion.
Double Wimbledon champion.
US Open champion (2012)
Davis Cup winner.
Double Sports Personality of the year.
Has appeared in every slam final so far of 2016.
That is Andy Murray.

But every credit to Del Potro. He was sensational in beating Djokovic and today he was just on another level again.
Take a bow sir. Take a bow.

Wade Van Niekerk just broke Michael Johnson's 400m world record with a time of 43.03.

RE: Olympics - jimminybob - 15-08-2016 01:14

Wow, Wayde van Niekerk has broken Michael Johnson's 400m world record from lane 8 in the final. I never thought I'd see Johnson lose his records in the 200m or 400m and now he has neither. Incredible performance

RE: Olympics - Snooks - 15-08-2016 01:27
