Got a bit of catching up to do on my usual type stuff...

"Its an ensemble piece with huge character arcs for all four of us": https://twitter.com/DoctorWho_BBCA/status/1038411883580207104

Whittaker will be on the first episode of Graham Norton's new season on Friday 28th: http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/graham-norton-show/news/a865844/graham-norton-show-guests-2018-lady-gaga-doctor-who-jodie-whittaker/

They'll be no romances among the TARDIS crew this year: http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/doctor-who/news/a865905/doctor-who-series-11-romance/

A new shot used for the SFX cover: http://merchandise.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/sfx-magazine-issue-305/

The original scripts for S11 were written for a male doctor: https://www.radiotimes.com/news/tv/2018-09-12/doctor-who-series-11-scripts-originally-written-for-male-doctor/

Actor Ray Winston pushed Walsh to take on his role: https://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/doctor-who-star-bradley-walsh-13248114.amp

Nine things Chibs says are in the season (from The Big Issue mag): https://i.imgur.com/nTWZb20.jpg
(As he's been quoted as saying episode two is the companions' first proper adventure with the doctor I wonder if this list is one thing from each episode of the fours' travels?)

^That's been the intrepretation put on it and it may be the case. What he actually said was more that they wouldn't be in their usual place. Make of that what you will.
The info itself came from this month's DWM (that hits early for subscribers): https://www.reddit.com/r/doctorwho/comments/9h4aet/episode_1_probably_wont_have_a_title_sequence/
I suppose it's reasoned that episode one is a sort of prologue about how the four come together. Leaving the theme and titles until the following week gives people yet another reason to tune in maybe.

Filming for S12 is unlikely to start, with Tosin Cole at least, before the latter half of November as she's in a play until the 24th: https://royalcourttheatre.com/casting-announced-ear-eye/

Two more new pics (from DWM again): https://twitter.com/jodiesource/status/1042391656400609280
...Also notes on the last word filmed (aside that is from in the Children in Need special which was shot on Aug. 7th) and yet more on the first two episodes: https://www.reddit.com/r/gallifrey/comments/9h62st/spoilers_series_11_snippets_from_the_new_doctor/
It sounds to me like Sheffield locales with be a base to both ground the season and for it to springboard from - in much the same way as RTD used Rose's estate.

The new trailer is better without the pop soundtrack: https://twitter.com/ABCTV/status/1042745191206084608
The fact that Aussie TV can remove that element suggests the music is not part of the show.
All I say on the new promo is that one thing we always knew about this season was that it would be visually splendorous. This trailer confirms that in spades. I so welcome the apparent return to universe trotting wonder too. However, we still have seen so little of the absolutely crucial detail of how Whittaker is playing the doctor. The jury still has to be out on that one as yet.

Pick-ups and reshoots being shot atm - possibly for the post season special: https://twitter.com/galacticgay_/status/1042129855838662656

And we have an airtime people! Only once again the beeb can't be bothered to make sure they tell the people they have supposedly made the show for first. bladewave 2pm EDT is a 7pm simulcast for the UK: https://twitter.com/DoctorDisco28/status/1043661497392660480

RE: Dr Who - The Silent Majority - 25-09-2018 20:44

Well, I'm looking forward to it now. Hopefully I won't be disappointed.

At the end of the day, Jodie is a competent actor and, if the stories are good, and the scriptwriting is good, it won't matter a shit that she's a woman.
