The Times is saying that there's going to be a National Lockdown of some kind next week.

will blame students for going back to uni even though they were told to and us for going out to pubs even though they incentivised it

One study quoted in the Times found that anywhere between 8-17% of infections between August and September could be linked directly to the “Eat out to help out” programme.

^ Back when we locked down in March, the vast majority of the population was behind the decision. It will be interesting to see what percentage of the population support having a lockdown now and also how many will obey it.
