RE: UFC - mitchell - 02-07-2010 16:08

I'm not too sure on this one gnp, same as everyone i wanna see Lesner get beat & beat well but he's a dece... half decent fighter & will pose problems for Carwin, like i've said before there's too many if's & but's with this fight, Lesner's time out, Carwin's 2nd round durability & so on, plus i've only seen Carwin in his last 3 fights so i don't know too much about his alround game... if he has or needs one? not one for garden fences so i'll reluctantly go with Lesner.... I think...errr...oh fuck knows???
Looking at the rest of the card there isn't much interms of currant big names, so the much hyped main event better live up to it billing or going on some recent UFC shows Dana might have to retract some of his smugness at seeing Fedor getting beat? Kendall Grove v Goran Reljic could be a good fight.

RE: UFC - cainan - 02-07-2010 17:36

Anyone remember Gonzaga/Carwin...Carwin was getting fucking murdered by Gonzaga...but then he made a mistake and it cost him.

I would love for Lesnar to win so he could shut all the ''critics/MMA experts'' the fuck up as i am a Lesnar fan and a fucking proud one.

RE: UFC - groundnpound - 02-07-2010 23:04

I don't got any problem with former Wrestlers/wwe guys cainan,i love wwe lol Just don't like Lesnar.
I think he's a total bully and a really disrespectful guy..
Hated what he did to Mir in their 2nd fight and you just gotta listen to him on that promo!!!
"If that was the best day of your life" and all that shit...
Roll on sat night.

RE: UFC - HEX!T - 03-07-2010 03:00

well tonights the night, i really wanna se lesnar get his nose broken propperly...

RE: UFC - cainan - 03-07-2010 10:09

While i am a VERY proud Lesnar fan, i wouldnt mind seeing Carwin win. Love both guys because for such big men, i found them exciting to watch. I got a huge buzz out of seeing Mir getting beaten by both Carwin and Lesnar Tongue

Despite loving both guys, i want to see Junior dos Santos with the Heavyweight title at some point Cool

RE: UFC - Gaz "AV1" Aston - 04-07-2010 05:41

Close but no cigar im afraid...in the effort it took out of Carwin trying to finish Brock in the 1st round, you could tell if Brock got the takedown in the 2nd Round it would all be over...and it was. I can see Carwin demanding a rematch!

2 or 3 great fights on the card including Chris Lebens win & also Stephen Bonnars victory...im glad i stayed up now Big Grin

ok...i only stayed up cos my baby daughter wouldnt Tongue

RE: UFC - cainan - 04-07-2010 12:08

He got GNP'ed by the hardest hitter in the UFC and still won. When he came out for the 2nd round he had a huge smile on his face. This is just speculation on my part, but I don't think Brock was anywhere close to being out from Carwins GNP. As a Lesnar fan I'm happy as shit, he answered the questions about his chin 10 fold. And he won. The fight was almost perfect, I'm glad Brock got GNP'ed for 3 1/2 minutes, it showed us what he's made of.

WAR LESNAR. I think the only people mad are Carwin fans and people will still refuse to admit Lesnar is legit. Many people, not on this site but around the net, said that Carwin would one punch KO him, yet it looked like 20+ GNP strikes to Lesnars head couldn't even do that. Carwin gassed, obviously. But think about it, Carwin gassed out trying to TKO Brock. Brock won because Carwin couldn't finish him.

Yeah, he pulled a Kalib Starnes for a little while but.....he has one huge heart and came back. Another thing.....after taking all those shots and a big uppercut, Lesnar did something nobody else managed to do with Shane....he stood up.

RE: UFC - HEX!T - 04-07-2010 14:04

lolz i watched it 3 times and can honestly say im surprised lesnar walked away with the belt. he got rocked 3 times b4 he fell over and if carwin had of been a little more tactical it could have gone his way, but he put to much into it and gassed. to lesar's credit he whetherd some serious blows and even admits he saw birds at 1 point (post fight interview). roll on the rematch. carwin will take it at the drop of a hat, lesnar may decide that he wants to defend the belt a few times first.

i was also impressed with both guys humility after the fight, showing mutual respect and both earning the crowds...

RE: UFC - groundnpound - 04-07-2010 17:27

Hats off to Lesnar he took a serious pounding from Carwin but wasn't KO'd...Impressive!
It must be that thick skull of his lol
But seriously he took a beating that no one else could have survived in my book.
I thot it was only a big connection away from being over in the 1st but it never came...
These guys are warriors so i was wrong to expect anything else of the heavyweight champion...Hands up. Then he put Shane away well...
Look forward to the rematch, hopefully Carwin will take it and we can have a 3rdSmile

Well... First things first, Carwin's alround game of all American xyz Rolling around or what ever it's supposed to be was none existent in the one fight he should of used it, never gone passed 1min but he still obviously trains for a 15/25min fight?? ummm, untill i'm proved other wise i'll say he's a one trick donkey. Caps off to Lesner (wipe it off your face cainan) & the ref for seeing it out like Brock said the punch's "were getting less & less", thats why he covered with his arms i think the ref maybe knew this so let it go, Carwin obviously didn't that's why he kept hittin Brock's forearms, he was never coming out for that 2nd round his defence was pretty feeble!!!.
Personally i don't see Cain Valasquez as much different, he may last longer but his style is more the same as Carwin's. Junior dos Santos on the other hand may pose a different problem as he is a brown belt in BBJ and has fought better oppo's than Valasquez, if he can get past 'big country' or maybe we may end up seeing Lesner v Nelson the two most hated heavy weights in the UFC, that i wouldn't mind seeing?

Now the rest of the card, Chris Lytle put on a good show as did Brendan Schaub & the ever improving George Aussie, Soszynski v Bonnar, Stephan you truly are A fucking psyco & one kid who obviously never had his lunch money stolen it was a pleasure, Akiyama v Leben not since Lesner & Rampage has a fighter shot up the ladder so fast, welcome back sir.
After a few questionable shows this year, that's what i call a good night, UFC 117 has a lot to live upto.. hope you were watching Anderson!!!
