Cleverly still holds belts I believe Wink

It was almost embarassing how easily Ward beat him. But i think Ward has entered the argument with Pacman and Mayweather as to who is the best pound for pound boxer out there.

randall munroe WBA International Super Bantamweight champion best known has the boxing binman but he has now gone fulltime pro boxer. he held the european and commonwealth titles but had to give them up to fight a japanese boxer for WBC super-bantamweight world. he is record is 25 fights 23 wins 9 wins by ko 2 loses 0draws 0 no contast.

andre ward has not lost a fight since he was 12. it was going to tough fight for the cobra froch to win.

Even though Ward dominated the early and middle rounds, I thought Froch finished the stronger.

Happy Birthday to Muhammad Ali, 70 today.

RE: Boxing - Charlemagne - 02-02-2012 08:52

Angelo Dundee, the legiondary trainer of Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard has died at the age of 90.

RE: Boxing - mr williams - 04-02-2012 20:20

He'll always be remembered for his work with Ali but he also trained or worked with 15 other World Champions, including Sugar Ray Leonard, George Foreman (after Ali retired, obviously!), Luis Rodriguez, Willie Pastrano, Ralph Dupas, José Nápoles, Pinklon Thomas, Trevor Berbick, Jimmy Ellis, Wilfredo Gómez, Michael Nunn and Sugar Ramos, as well as other boxers such as Bill Bossio, David Estrada, Douglas Vaillant, Jimmy Lange, Tom Zbikowski and Pat O'Connor.

In 2005, Dundee was hired to train Russell Crowe for Crowe's characterization of James J. Braddock in Cinderella Man. Dundee travelled to Australia to work with the Oscar-winning actor and appeared in the film as "Angelo" the corner man.

It's been a weekend of shame for British Heavyweight Dereck Chisora

1st he slaps champion Vitali Klitschko at the weigh in.

Then after he predictably lost the fight, he was then involved in a post match brawl with David Haye

RE: Boxing - Midlifecrisis - 19-02-2012 09:55

The only people emerging with any credit over this is the Klitschkos. I always admired David Haye but all this just brings shame onto British boxing. I personally would ban Haye and Chisora for a long period, ffs Chisora says he wants to SHOOT Haye, the guy needs locked up institutionally and sectioned. What a role model for young boxers!!!!

Haye is retired though, so what can he be banned from?
