Leeds look much more solid & are still playing football, just don't have to score 3 or 4 to win now.Playing with confidence again.

You call throwing yourself to the ground every two seconds playing football?

RE: Football Banter - dilkington - 11-03-2012 17:48

if warnock was managing any other team i'd love him to get promoted just so he can laugh at QPR as they get relagated but seen as he's managing leeds utd i hope he fails miserably. cant stand leeds one bit.

You're just a town full of Leeds fans, town full of Leeds fans.

I see it's not taken the Leeds fans long to warm to Neil Warnock. It's exactly the same as with most of his other clubs; he might be despised by opposing fans but if you ask fans of clubs where he's managed, you'll get a different reaction. I should wish total failure on any club owned by the odious Ken Bates and who have employed Venables and Wise as managers in recent years, but on the flip side, I'd like Warnock to do well. For that reason, I won't be shedding too many tears if QPR go down after they fired him, six months after leading them to promotion.
And his book, Made In Sheffield (written pre-Palace) is a good read as well, unless you're a West Ham fan laugh

Personally, I've never despised him, no matter where he is his from or who he has managed.

Quite the opposite, I've always wanted a manager like him at Leeds and now he is here and we've instantly improved, just like I thought we would.

Love him or loath him he certainly gets the conversation going!!!

Yes, briefly. He said that he couldn't settle as it was the only time he ever played for a southern team. Apparently his wife moved back up north, they sold their house and he ended up living in a caravan with his Labrador for six months laugh
