The singles isn't going well for Europe. Current prediction is a 17-11 win for the USA.

Fair play to them, they got the results, we didn't. 'Sfunny, I read Clarke's autobiog last month and he was quite fixed about what he felt were the rights and wrongs of Ryder Cup teams, especially as regards rookies. Oh well, bring on 2018!

Hoping they make Clarke Captain again think he did a good job we were always on a cruising to nothing let this one go and dominate again in 2 years the rookies will have had battle experience

This years US Open has begun from Erin Hills in Wisconsin.

Should be an engrossing final round with a clutch of players closely bunched at the top of the leaderboard.
Home nation interest rests with Englishman Tommy Fleetwood who is one shot off the overall lead at -11.
American Brian Harman is the clubhouse leader at -12.

RE: Golf - Doddle - 19-06-2017 12:45

Brooks Koepka did his best to rebut the foul slur that America is full of people with silly names. Well done to him on winning the 2nd least interesting of the 4 Majors.

Well done to Hideki Matsuyama on coming in joint 2nd, and to Tommy Fleetwood for finishing 4th too.

RE: Golf - Snooks - 19-06-2017 21:52

Koepka didn't buckle under the pressure of the final round at all. He pulled away on the back nine holes.
Exceptional performance.

I've enjoyed watching the Europe v the USA Ladies Solheim Cup.
It's going into the last day of singles with Europe taking a bashing being 5.5 to 10.5 behind.

The standard of golf isn't up to that of the Men's game. But there a few lovelies on view.
