To be honest, If I was Scottish, and I heard an English PM saying that we don't need another referendum on independence as we (the UK he presumably means) had one - or gave permission to the Scottish people to have one to be more accurate - only 3 or so years ago, and people are tired of referendums, I might be inclined to feel that the time had come now - more than ever - to say to the UK - 'stuff you'!!
Speaking in terms of the referendum we had in NI, had a sitting - largely English/mainland government - said that we were not entitled to have our voices heard, I think we may have had a dim view of that, given our history, which included the imposition of the Anglo Irish Agreement'
It is dangerous in a geographical connection like the UK, for one country to hold the levers of power and influence over the others (even in terms of perception) as it leads to the type and level of discontent felt among large numbers within another component nation - in this case Scotland! Saying we are a united kingdom, doesn't make it so!!

I used to think that Corbyn was the scruffy C... After watching Boris this morning I think that Jeremy has competition.
And Ruth Davidson's dropped a bombshell. She's stated that she's skinnydip in Loch Ness if the SNP get 50 seats. For F... sake please don't vote for the SNP.

I've lived in my current house for almost 25 years. They are the first Political Party who have ever actually come to the door so i'll give them credit for that if nothing else. The rest of them just stuff their propaganda leaflets through the letterbox which then make a quick journey to the recycling bin
