A superb performance has seen Jack Draper demolish Alex de Minaur 6-3 7-5 6-2.

Into the semi finals he goes.

Well done Jack.

Blimey, I thought that might be the end of him. But clearly the Machac result was no fluke. I'm sure he will cope with being patronised by the press for being a measly Grand Slam semi-finalist.

I detect something a bit different about Draper at the moment. His first serve percentage figures over the tournament are up to now at an exceptionally high level.
He is winning points in lots of different ways too and holding his nerve in clutch situations.
I think his fitness and belief in his body helps with that to be honest. He is just playing really really well. Let's hope he just keeps it going.

Couple of excellent matches due for the night session tonight.

Swiatek v Pegula

Sinner v Medvedev

Absolute corkers on paper.........

Draper v Sinner, a good one for Lingo fans.

Pegula got a big win there.

In the end a straight sets defeat for Draper in a brutally physical match in which he was sick a few times. Bigger picture is positive though imo. A really useful building block to work from.
Take away the learning points and use them for the future. He has a formidable game and will get stronger and stronger. Much food for thought and all good imo.
