RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 12-03-2018 01:10 ^ he is a Scottish coach who understands the expectations of Rangers fans, something that couldn't have been said of the previous 2 managers RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 17-03-2018 21:17 Ross County held Hamilton to a draw (or vice versa), but Dundee and Partick both lost, so it's not all nettles. Rangers lost to Kilmarnock though And East Stirling won and sit 3rd RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 20-03-2018 23:57 Dunfermline now 1 point out of playoffs after beating ICT 1-0, and beating Brechin 3-0 tonight in between a 0-0 draw with Morton on Saturday. Brechin's defeat means they will be relegated on Saturday if they fail to beat Morton in Greenock. They are trying to do the opposite of Celtic by becoming the Unwinnables. To be fair 13 of their defeats have been by 1 goal. Cowdenbeath having not won in 26 games have now won 2 in a row and are now 9 points behind Berwick and 10 points behind Edinburgh City and can reduce this to 7 if they win their game in hand. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 23-03-2018 13:55 was shocked to learn of the situation at Cowdenbeath, hopefully they can get something sorted out https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/news/local/fife/623370/cowdenbeath-chairman-donald-findlay-rallies-fans-to-help-reverse-clubs-decline/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 23-03-2018 14:13 Gotta say it was them who stopped East Stirling's play-off dreams a few years back, and I expect they'll still beat East Kilbride or whoever they need to this time around too. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 24-03-2018 21:22 East Stirling won at Hawick Royal Albert Ayr United looking good to pip Raith Rovers to promotion as things stand. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 29-03-2018 07:18 St Johnstone 1 Hamilton 0 I guess those final 5 games will make the difference, but hopefully we should be safe. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 30-03-2018 14:15 I see that Hamilton's stadium sponsor Superseal have gone into liquidation so the stadium will revert back to being called New Douglas Park for the time being. I see after Kelty Hearts voted last year to leave Junior Football to join East of Scotland League and another club voting recently to leave and join the South of Scotland league, junior clubs have voted 99 to 55 to join the SPFL League Pyramid System to prevent other top Junior clubs from voting to leave Junior Football. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/16121118.Juniors_set_to_join_SPFL_pyramid_system_after_clubs_vote_in_favour/ RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 30-03-2018 15:00 http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/16128429.Dundee_United__A_lesson_in_how_not_to_run_a_football_club/ Seems Dundee United reported losses of £1.55 million last year and Dundee football club have also said they cannot break even with the current financial deal they have from SPFL and TV rights. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 31-03-2018 20:37 Kilmarnock beat Hamilton, but Partick and Ross also lost, so unless Dundee beat Hearts tomorrow, it'll all be AYW. East Stirling drew with Spartans, who slip above East Kilbride. If we'd won, that top 3 would have been even closer. |
