RE: Cricket Banter - Snooks - 11-05-2024 12:56 James Anderson has confirmed he will retire from test cricket in after the first test against West Indies at Lord's. What a career he has enjoyed. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 11-05-2024 14:28 ^^ Nothing to prove at all, I just hope that the weather is kind & he bowls well & picks up a few wickets. A bit foolish of the Sky team to mention the 9 wickets required to pass Shane Warne. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 11-05-2024 14:44 Didn't particularly like the way that Jimmy's retirement was leaked out yesterday, as a half story, that he would be calling it a day this summer, this came from the England management, McCullum I believe. Why not wait a day for the man himself the break the news, he deserved more respect in that regard. RE: Cricket Banter - hornball - 13-05-2024 17:54 Heads up Booms et al. Check out Youtube channel '98 not out'! 'Bumble' gave an interview, and was asked his views on how the county game - specifically the schedule - could be ''improved'. I think he may just have cracked it! Nobody of influence will listen, of that I would be as near to certain as it is possible to be! RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 21-05-2024 19:05 England v Pakistan T2 series should get underway tomorrow at Headingley 18.30, however the weather looks shocking RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 22-05-2024 18:05 ^^ Match abandoned with out a ball being bowled. The 4 match series now becomes a 3 match series. Next up it's down to Edgbaston on Saturday 14.30 start. RE: Cricket Banter - Snooks - 25-05-2024 17:55 2nd T20 - Edgbaston Pakistan won toss and field England: 183/7 (20 overs) Buttler 84 Shaheen Afridi 3/36 Pakistan: 160 all out (19.2 overs) Fakhar 45 Topley 3/41 England won by 23 runs Impressive return from all the England bowlers to be honest. They all chipped in. Good to see Archer get a couple of wickets. RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 25-05-2024 22:31 After a lean spell, Buttler is back to his best off the back of a productive IPL in which he scored 2 centuries. RE: Cricket Banter - Charlemagne - 26-05-2024 08:35 Who was that fine athlete that Pakistan had behind the stumps I've never seen him before. I was going to ask what's happened to their last keeper but I think that I know the answer ![]() RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 26-05-2024 10:30 ^^ Azam Khan, who is the son of former international wicketkeeper Moin Kham who played between 1990 & 2004. Mohammad Rizwan suffered a hamstring injury in April, he would be first choice. Back in my school days I always remember the fat lads ended up keeping wicket. I really enjoyed the attempted dive by Azam as a climbing delivery drifted down leg-side he barely got off the ground as he tried to jump. |
