RE: UFC - mitchell - 21-04-2012 11:59 Jon Jones v Rashad Evans - Evans Decision Rory MacDonald v Che Mills - MaCdonald Decision Brendan Schaub v Ben Rothwell - Schaub TKO Miguel Torres v Michael McDonald - Torres Submission Mark Hominick v Eddie Yagin - Hominick TKO Mark Bocek v John Alessio - Alessio Decision Jones v Evans is a tough one, I think Evans experience could see him through but Jones 9.5 reach advantage along with his 100% takedown defence will be hard to get past so Evans may have to pace himself & he's the only one of the two to go the fulll 5 round distance. I've seen one or two of Che Mills fights & he looks decent & has more experience than McDonald so this could be interseting. I'm looking forward to watching Brendan Schaub, I think he's got what it takes to be a top fighter & Ben Rothwell is a though test & a win could aslo get him big steps aswell so this is another 50/50 fitght. It should be a good show tonight lads. RE: UFC - TDK2008 - 22-04-2012 14:12 *UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans spoilers follow* Good show but Jones/Evans was disappointing. Dana White confirmed as we knew that Dan Henderson will get the next shot at the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. I predict Jones will win but he won't be the first man to KO/TKO Dan Henderson. This makes me laugh: RE: UFC - mitchell - 22-04-2012 14:20 Jon Jones v Rashad Evans Not a great fight but I think if Evans was the same size he'd beat Jones atleast 6 out of 10 fights the reach advantage was just too much. Rory MacDonald v Che Mills I'm not quite sure what happened to Mills as he showed no fight when on the ground but MacDonald is gonna be a fucking beast. Brendan Schaub v Ben Rothwell Very amateurish by Schaub he should know that Rothwell is dangerous even when on the ropes, charging in like that was silly. Mark Hominick v Eddie Yagin I can't wait to see Yagin again if this is what his fights are like, warrior!!! Next up for Jon Jones is Dan Henderson it sounds a great fight but Henderson's reach is shorter than Evans, that said with his power he'll go looking for it. Here's a thought who would you rather see: GSP v Anderson Silva or GSP v Rory Mac Donald Jon Jones v Cain Velasquez or Anderson Silva v Jon Jones I'll put the UFC Openweight Predictions Grand Prix Table up later or tomorrow. RE: UFC - mitchell - 22-04-2012 19:58 UFC 145: Jones vs. Evans Jon Jones v Rashad Evans - Jones Decision Rory MacDonald v Che Mills - MacDonald TKO Brendan Schaub v Ben Rothwell - Rothwell KO Miguel Torres v Michael McDonald - McDonald KO Mark Hominick v Eddie Yagin - Hominick Decision Mark Bocek v John Alessio - Bocek Decision Ro1982, gazfc, Paul Ducky - 5 Master Yoda, 199lives - 4 groundnpound, TDK2008 - 3 Mitchell - 1 UFC Openweight Predictions Grand Prix table TDK2008 Mitchell, Ro1982 199lives groundnpound Master Yoda Gaz "AV1" Aston, Paul Ducky gazfc 10 predictions reached. I got the results off Wikipedia as I couldn't remember the finish of some & it said Mark Hominick won by UD, it's since been changed. So everyone except Gaz 'AV1' Aston loses a score which doesn't look good for my 145 card. RE: UFC - 199lives - 22-04-2012 21:28 I am costing myself points here but Yagin won a split decision Over Hominick, although i would have given it to Hominick it was very close so can't complain JJ just looks unbeatable at lightheavy weight, always a chance of someone with big power landing that one shot but don't see who has a realistic chance of beating him he's such a complete fighter. His resume of fighters is already rediculous and only 25. Che looked good while it was standing then well its didn't go so well on the ground, thought it was a bit unfair giving him Macdonald in only his second ufc fight. Macdonald looks like a bit of a beast. It's going to be another Jones-Evans situation team mates having to fight for the title with Rory vs GSP. RE: UFC - groundnpound - 22-04-2012 23:45 Well spotted mate. An honest man. Get it sorted Mitchell! GSP won't fight Macdonald. It's not like the Jones/Evans situation. Both said they would go up to middleweight before they would ever fight. Macdonald should stay at the Tristar and learn like he's done til now from the best. GSP will fight Condit and 1 more at WW i reckon then move up to MW. The WW division will belong to Macdonald then. Jones moving up to Heavy is a whole other ball game for me. He spoke about how good he felt when he realised he could take a big shot from Machida. They'd be looking for his head in the crowd if he took a shot like that from Dos Santos! His size and reach are what make him look just about unbeatable in his current division i'd say. Would like to see him fight someone similar in size. He's running out of challengers at LHW!! Wouldn't mind seeing the big Swedish lad have a crack at him. Gustafsson. There's something about Jones that i can't take to, he comes across quite arrogant and a bit of a pain in the arse at times. Maybe it's just me, but there were plenty of boos for him last night before and after the fight. RE: UFC - groundnpound - 23-04-2012 21:18 Velasquez vs Bigfoot at 146. Leaves Roy Nelson looking for a new opponent. Update - Nelson now fights Gabriel Gonzaga at 146. Gonzaga was supposed to fight Shane Del Rosario, who's turn it is to wait on a new opponent. RE: UFC - groundnpound - 24-04-2012 22:53 UFC sign Hector Lombard. Quality addition, surely gonna be a big player at middleweight. Can't wait to see him fight. Silva vs Sonnen 2 moved from UFC 147 in Brazil to 148 in Vegas. Why have they've done that? They were set to sell out one of the football stadiums in Rio!! Strange. Sonnen wouldn't have made it out alive anyway. RE: UFC - TDK2008 - 25-04-2012 15:36 (24-04-2012 22:53 )groundnpound Wrote: UFC sign Hector Lombard. RE: UFC - mitchell - 25-04-2012 19:11 Some quality upcoming fights there lads, pitty about the Brazil move as it would've been one hell of an atmophere.
