RE: Dr Who - GMach1 - 19-11-2018 20:54 Amazon meets I, Robot methinks RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 20-11-2018 20:30 Sfunny, I've seen more favourable comments for this than many previous episodes. I thought it was okay, albeit sledgehammer-subtle. RE: Dr Who - *Kal-El* - 24-11-2018 01:50 Kerblam! Not a great Ep and a totally waste. RE: Dr Who - HannahsPet - 25-11-2018 19:51 So pendle hill was a prison for alien army? that certainly explains Burnley RE: Dr Who - M-L-L - 25-11-2018 21:01 That was a ... remarkable?.... performance by Alan Cumming. (It seemed like it would have fitted right in to the house style in about 1978/79 ?) RE: Dr Who - thrud - 25-11-2018 22:55 Yeah, that was right down with crap like The Mark of the Rani. Did no-one bother to mention to Alan Cumming that James I/VI had a thick Scottish accent? At least his flirting with Ryan was historically accurate. If it was as bad as The Mark of the Rani then I’ll be giving it a swerve. I remember how painful it was viewing ‘Rani’..talk about an unflushable turd of a story. On a more general note, there are stories flying around about the show’s viewing figures tumbling, there is even even speculation about Jodie Whittaker doing an Eccleston and jacking it in after one season along with Chibnall. Who knows what the true story is but the feeling that this show’s days are numbered is one that I can’t shake. I thought James the 1st was Scottish RE: Dr Who - circles_o_o_o - 26-11-2018 00:16 But Alan Cumming is Scottish isn't he RE: Dr Who - thrud - 26-11-2018 02:23 Yeah, he is. I didn't think the accent he was using was, though. I'd say "not all Doctor Who fans" and "John Hurt" in response to those headlines! On more mature reflection, "Witchfinder" wasn't as bad either Rani story, but I really, really didn't like it. I'm not at all surprised if viewing figures are dropping; Jodie started off well enough, but some of the episodes have been right stinkers. |
