Sensational win for Worcestershire away at Essex.
Utterly unbelievable really.

Having elected to bat first Worcestershire found themselves 10/4 on the first morning.
They posted 266 which Essex overhauled by 138 runs with a total of 404.

Worcestershire posted 321 in their second innings leaving Essex a chase of 184 to win the match.

And it was too much to ask as Worcestershire rolled them out for 140. Brilliant win and now they have a serious chance of staying up Big Grin.

Nicholas Pooran has broken the record for the number of sixes in a T20 calendar year, previously held by none other than the Universe Boss AKA Chris Gayle, who had 135 in 2015. Pooran currently has 139, with 4 months of the year to go.
Some consolation for Gayle is that he has the next best 4 totals of sixes in a year & the equal 6th best.
