I am an Everton fan, Jimbo. As long as Terry performs on the pitch, it's his job. The only thing that annoys me is this constant referencing to John Terry as JT. Sportsman known by initials tend to come to a sticky end. OJ anyone.

Why thank you, that's very kind of you to offer. I'm in Northumberland, I'll expect you some time in the next few hours. Proper OJ though, none of that Sunny Delight crap. Wink

Its very true, Terry has no pace whatsoever, but one of the reasons ive always been a fan of him and why he's such a great defender is that he very rarely lets his lack of pace affect him due to positional sense and having a good 'football brain' among other factors

At the moment im more concerned with Ferdinand, if Terry does get beaten for pace he'll always have Carvalho (for Chelsea) or Ferdinand (for England) as cover, however seeing Ferdinand getting well paced out by people like Gerrard (in the build up for their goal at the weekend) and Zamora the week before is a big worry as it looks like his back injury has severely affected his speed, i hope not though

Ferdinand said the other day that he couldn't remember the last time he played and didn't feel pain, he also said that the pain was so bad after a match that he couldnt walk. Doesn't fill me with confidence, especially as his alternative is Upson who has had a trully horrific season by his standards. I've never really rated him to be honest. If wenger doesn't like you, the you are shite.

Yup, you're right. As a Chelsea fan i always call him J.T and it's a filthy habit.

Bet Wayne Bridge has got a completely different moniker for him laugh

One of the biggest reasons why Terry rarely gets exposed is because be it for Chelsea or England, he normally has Ashley Cole, one of the quickest players in football playing alongside him.

I can recall an England game a few years back when Steve "no brains" McClaren played Terry on the left side of three centre halves with two wing-backs rather than full backs....The result was carnage, poor old John looked like he was running in 3ft of water.

Well steve mclaren always did know how to get the worst out of a player but apprently now he has grown some tactical knowledge and a fake dutch accent. 4 points clear wth fc twente. He's doing an amazing job.

RE: JOHN TERRY A DISGRACE TO ENGLAND! - Captain Vimes - 25-03-2010 23:41

Don't worry McLaren will manage to balls it up. If he doesn't, then the Dutch league is in serious trouble.

Oh and along the lines of JT (ugh). Any commentator who uses 'Stevie G'. Stevie Gerrard, just acceptable, but Stevie G (shudders). Rant over
