RE: Snooker World Championships - Doddle - 07-08-2020 07:08 Well done to Maflin, who may fancy his chances against the Van Morrison lookalike in the next round too (if he gets chance). RE: Snooker World Championships - lovebabes56 - 07-08-2020 08:25 If no - one else gets a 147 that cheque will be going to John Higgins just thinking did they do a tribute to Willie Thorne before the championship started? RE: Snooker World Championships - Snooks - 07-08-2020 21:49 Day Eight. Results: Mark Williams (3) bt Stuart Bingham (14) 13-11 Judd Trump (1) bt Yan Bingtao (16) 13-11 Mark Selby (7) bt Noppon Saengkham 13-12 Overnight scores: Anthony McGill 2-6 Jamie Clarke Ronnie O'Sullivan (6) 4-4 Ding Junhui (11) RE: Snooker World Championships - Tractor boy - 07-08-2020 23:57 I cannot recall a year where we had so many down to the wire second round matches. RE: Snooker World Championships - Stemmw - 08-08-2020 00:34 ^ It's been quality, the standard of play has been very high. I'm thinking the lack of a crowd has helped take the pressure off the qualifiers and lower ranked players, allowing them to perform better and make the games more competitive. RE: Snooker World Championships - Tractor boy - 08-08-2020 15:07 Anthony McGill and Jamie Clarke have had a bit of a ding dong at the Crucible today. McGIll has accused Clarke of standing in his eye line when down on a shot. The referee had to step between them. RE: Snooker World Championships - mikedafc - 08-08-2020 16:13 McGill seemed to rush off after Clarke at end of that frame. Match now 8-7 Clarke when session was ended early RE: Snooker World Championships - Snooks - 08-08-2020 22:05 Day Nine. Overnight scores: Kyren Wilson (8) 11-5 Martin Gould Neil Robertson (2) 8-8 Barry Hawkins (15) Anthony McGill 7-8 Jamie Clarke Ronnie O'Sullivan (6) 8-8 Ding Junhui (11) RE: Snooker World Championships - Tractor boy - 09-08-2020 20:17 Ronnie was on top form in his interview after beating Ding 13 - 10 When asked if he was surprised to still be at the top after more than a quarter of a century he said today's young players were so poor, he would have to lose an arm and a leg to be knocked out of the World's top 50. I think he was talking tongue in cheek but that might get a few players backs up. He also took a pop at Crawley as well. RE: Snooker World Championships - HannahsPet - 09-08-2020 20:19 ^^ nah he was talking about the crucible when theres crowds there and said i would rather play in crawley was a funny interview not sure what the rest of them will think about it |
