are bt limiting your speed in peak hours because you've gone over a certain limit. they did this to me a while back without telling me.

speedtested mine with utorrent running and goes from 13mbps to about 1.4mbps download and from about 1mbps upload to about 200kbps a sec

I use bitcomet, but it's not downloading or seeding anything at the moment. My upload speed is still about 15 megs.
Basically the internet is working ok for me, I can still record 8 websteams at once no problem but uploading a zip file with four or five caps can take over a minute :/

I hope not, I payed for an unlimited usage plan so they really shouldn't be capping it.

when i had unlimited if i reached 100gb within a month, it slowed my speeds at peak times. with fibre optic that cap would be higher, but they might still do it.

yeah but they changed it in Feb so its unlimited with no fair use restrictions

try turning bitcomet off completely it might be using same port number the browser uses for uploads and its colliding

Problem solved, there was something wrong with my ADSL cable connecting my router to the phone line. Strange how I could still download data through it though.
