RE: Chelsea FC - malicious fan - 15-07-2012 14:58 without reading a essay on what happened then what was the actual reason he was not guilty? not enough evidence at what he supposedly said? the only thing i understood was terry said it sarcastically unless iv read it wrong and he only repeated back what he thought ferdinand had said to him, is that right? RE: Chelsea FC - admin. - 15-07-2012 15:27 The words of the magistrate: "Even with all the help the court has received from television footage, expert lip readers, witnesses and indeed counsel, it is impossible to be sure exactly what were the words spoken by Mr Terry at the relevant time. It is a crucial fact that nobody has given evidence that they heard what Mr Terry said or more importantly how he said it. He has given effectively the same account throughout. Nobody has been able to show that he is lying. The lip readers do not provide evidence that categorically contradicts his account. I have assessed John Terry as a credible witness. It is therefore possible that what he said was not intended as an insult, but rather as a challenge to what he believed had been said to him. In those circumstances, there being a doubt, the only verdict the court can record is one of not guilty." RE: Chelsea FC - malicious fan - 15-07-2012 15:47 what other witnesses were they who gave evidence? the only 1 i heard about was ashley cole, were they any other chelsea players or the referee or qpr players who heard anything or witnessed anything and took the stand? Several other Chelsea players took the stand as character witnesses to say that John Terry wasn't a racist, but apart from Ashley Cole none of them had heard anything of what was said that day between Terry and Ferdinand and couldn't comment on that. No QPR players gave evidence as they didn't hear anything either. RE: Chelsea FC - admin. - 21-08-2012 14:00 As Chelsea played Wigan in their opening match of the 2012/13 season Frank Lampard scored his 38th penalty in the Premier League. Only Alan Shearer has more Premier League penalties with 56. RE: Chelsea FC - Money_Shot - 21-08-2012 14:51 So does Drogba go down for 37 assists ? Did he score any for West Ham? RE: Chelsea FC - admin. - 23-08-2012 10:43 (22-08-2012 09:44 )cosmonaut Wrote: Did he score any for West Ham? Frank Lampard scored 2 penalties for West Ham in the Premier League. By scoring a penalty in Chelsea's match against Reading last night he made it 37 penalties for Chelsea in the Premier League and 39 scored in total. I don't know if anyone keeps records of goals from free kicks, but it's easy to get figures for goals scored excluding any penalties. Lampard has made 524 appearances and has scored 112 goals excluding penalties, Gerrard has made 406 appearances and has scored 75 goals excluding penalties, and Scholes has made 484 appearances and has scored 103 goals excluding penalties. |
