What a rollercoaster of a final. Thought Anderson had blown it when Taylor got it back to 6 sets all!

Well done Gary Anderson, World Champion

Some scrappy darts and bizarre finishing but Gary getting it done at last.

And now we can get back to the 'proper' darts on bbc2.

Major upset this afternoon, with number one seed James 'jammy dodger' Wilson knocked out by Swedish first-timer Peter Sajwani, who came through the qualifying round and had dispensation to leave the stage at any time, due to suffering from a virus.

Must be said, he had it gifted to him, though, with Wilson missing 18 doubles in a row.

That's not really going to do wonders for the BDO image, is it?

I find the BDO die-hards a mix of the charming (Tony "lose some weight" O'Shea) and the who-cares? (Daryl Fitton).

I mostly tune in for the women's championship at the BDO darts

That was totally suspect. I'll now be astonished of James Wilson DOESN'T jump ship to the PDC. As will Robbie Green. And probably Jan Dekker.

That's the beauty of bdo darts, where else can you see an unknown from Sweden suffering from diarrhoea walk out into the arena to a queen track and beat the number one seed.
