^^ It wasn't the best pitch to bat on to be fair. RCB's innings took a similar shape, as it became harder to score as the innings progressed. They were 91-2 & lost 6-58, Maxwell struck 59 from 41 balls & was out off the penultimate ball of the innings. Rashid Khan took 2-18.
In reply, Hyderabad were 96-1 when Warner (54 from 37) was dismissed. They lost 8-47. RCB only won by 6 runs. The key over was the 17th, bowled by Shahbaz Ahmed, with 3 wickets, including the set batsman, Pandey, who should've taken control of the situation once Bairstow got out. Panic set in, & it was a combination of poor shots & good bowling.

Some consolation for Stokes, who is out of the IPL after breaking a finger in his first game. He has been named as Wisden's leading Cricketer in the World for the 2nd year running, prior to last year, Kohli had been given the Honor in previous 3 years.
Stokes scored the most Test runs in 2020 (641 AV 58.27) & 19 wickets at 18.73.

Match 9
Mumbai Indians v
Sunrisers Hyderabad

RE: Indian Premier League (IPL) - Boomerangutangangbang - 17-04-2021 19:40

Sunrisers are now 0-3. Again looked on course to chase down 151. Bairstow looked good for his 43 before he went back deep in his crease, & was out hit wicket. Warner needed to take control, but was run out by excellent fielding from Hardik Pandya. Bumrah & Boult closed the game out, & a 13 run win.
Mumbai were the first team to win the toss & bat, with the pattern of the previous matches of the wicket getting tougher to increase to the scoring rate after the power-play. Credit has to go to Kieron Pollard with 32 no from 22 at the back end of the Mumbai innings which proved to be crucial.
