RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - cwpussylover - 09-06-2012 23:11 b) we will say 6 or less. bull good shout mate ![]() RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - Regenerated - 09-06-2012 23:22 You know what? I think I need to re-evaluate my predicting powers. I said I'd have a punt on Van Persie to be the top scorer. What a load of crap that looks like now! Maybe the Dutch have been kicking everyone's ass (literally) for so long in these tournaments, it could be about time they get a kicking themselves.... right out of the group! They looked poor against an average Denmark side - I wouldn't give them any chance against Germany or Portugal on that form. As for Ireland tomorrow, I'm looking forward to it. They're on a good unbeaten run so are one of the form teams going in to the tournament. If they get something against Croatia, they have every reason to fancy their chances of winning against the shit Italians. ![]() RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - dan g 27 - 09-06-2012 23:26 (09-06-2012 23:22 )Regenerated Wrote: You know what? I think Ireland are capable of beating Croatia, we are unbeaten in 14 games and have only conceded 3 goals RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - amber_is_a_goddess - 10-06-2012 01:18 (09-06-2012 21:57 )cwpussylover Wrote: so who was Fowler never got a proper run in the team, RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - fazzer77 - 10-06-2012 01:57 (09-06-2012 21:57 )cwpussylover Wrote: so who was A- Paul Warhurst when he was at Sheff Wed as a makeshift striker, Gary Shaw of Aston Villa maybe?? Still a rovers legend though pity we never got to see the SAS in england shirts got a question whatever happened to the england A team Hmmmm didnt John Fashnu get 1 england game and was so hopless he never played again ![]() RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - Stillroom Rock - 10-06-2012 04:26 My brother stuck 20 quid on Russia to win the tournament at 20/1, starting to look like a good bet now RE: 2012 UEFA European Championship - lovebabes56 - 10-06-2012 05:24 Germany V Portugal, I think credit has to be given for the way that Portugal played. They gave Germany a hard game and the 1-0 final score shows just how hard the Germans had to fight for the win. I agree that the game was scrappy at times. and I think the offiicial behind the goal got it right for once when Portugal thought they scored. it would have been a hard one to give when it bounces on the line off the cross bar. As for Winker (Ronaldo), the Germans kept him a little quiet and I felt he wasn't able to play his natural game to me. Like Van Persie, he needs to find something like his usual form pretty quickly, but I still think that at least one or maybe two former winners are going home from this group, but in the next game I expect Denmark to probably cement one foot into ther next round if they put a couple past Portugal. As for Holland you have to say that I'd would not bet on them beating Germany judging by their perfromance, but Germany must have wateched the game and I expect them to tear open what I feel is probably one of the most nevous defences in the group. Normally the Dutch defence is good, but against Denmark they were shite. Jonathon Pearce said that the Dutch lost their first game when they won in 1988, and would have to do so again On that form they don't deserve to. Germany on the other hand will probably put the Dutch out of their misery. Overall I very much hope the next round of games will be the one that sparks the goal - fest. Still a rovers legend though pity we never got to see the SAS in england shirts I would agree. Yet how about Stan Bowles in his heyday? I think it was a shame he never was given a chance and the same goes for Tony Currie. I think he probably would qualify for part B. |
