I really couldn't call it on who England will pick, giving a Test debut to Ballance or Stokes against a fired up Aussie side isn't ideal, this could give Bairstow the edge.

huh golf is not a team game if he is good enough he will win !!

Correct, there are no teams in Olympic golf. Just an individual men's event and an individual women's event.

No, Bairstow isn't exactly a veteran and his record isn't great either. Bairstow only plays if they were to drop Prior. Surely it has to be Ballance.

Finn & Rankin did little to press their claims to oust Tremlett from the 3rd seamer position & he may hang onto his place if they decide Bresnan isn't ready. The drop-in pitch could take turn,Monty bowled a tidy spell picking up 3 wickets in the 2 day match, but a 2 spinner,2 seamer attack would be a gamble, with Stokes as number 6 & providing a 5th bowling option.

Let's hope the pitch is one we can exploit whatever the bowling line up is. I still think Bresnan could be a better option than Finn, though given Finn's height could trouble the Aussies more. I would think a 2 spinnner 3 seam attack might be worth a gamble.

I actually have a lot leas concerns over the bowling than I do the batting. The bowling will always be able to keep us in the game its the batting that is pure meltdown. The senior players have to step up by that I mean Pietersen, Cook and Prior.

Surely anyone is a better option than Finn, after his performance in the last match. He may have bowled himself out of contention for the entire series.

We will do if we keep treating our fast bowlers like medium pacers. Just tell the guy go and throw the thing down as fast as he can for 5 hour spells dont worry about economy, line and length and all that shit. Give them a taste of their own medicine as their batting sure dont like it up em any better than ours.

As long as the bowling is accurate as well as fast I agree sweetsugar Wink.
Australia seem to be targetting Swann to eliminate his ability to tie up an end therefore forcing Cook to use his seam attack all the more and wear them down. Its a good ploy as England only play 4 bowlers.
In combination with a misfiring batting line up the problems for England could grow further.

I wonder now if Cook will take a leaf out of Jardine's book and try bodyline tactics 2013?
