fantastic news that the gb women got the bronze in the curling. the reaction when eve muirhead scored the winning point was wonderful, hugging each other and then just bursting out into tears. it means that team gb will equal their best ever medal haul at a winter olympics with 4 since the mens curling team are guaranteed a medal in the mens final

the olympics for me today is the medals decided in the womens ice hockey. right now Sweden and Switzerland are playing in the bronze medal game and then at tea time is the gold medal game between Usa women and Canada Women where the referee in that game is british Smile

Just watching the podium flower presentation for the women curlers and couldn't believe my eyes - apart from the little blonde woman in the British team, every single one of the other 14 women in the medal winning teams has got red hair, to some degree. That's a handy hint to any talent scout who might be reading this. Wink

Happy that Eve's team won a medal but disappointed that because of the last end muck up in last round robin game that they didn't give themselves a change to go for gold against Canada

fantastic gold medal game between Usa and Canada in the women's ice hockey. Canada came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 after overtime. they scored 2 goals in the final 3 and a half minutes of the 3rd period and then scored a powerplay goal in ot to win

and today (Friday) it's Usa v Canada in the Mens Ice Hockey semi finals at 5pm today.

hope the gods smile on elise Christie as well today and she can get a medal in her strongest event

Russia's Adelina Sotnikova won the ladies' ice skating last night.
Her's was the more complicated routine, but had a couple of error where as runner up Yuna Kim from Korea had a better performance.

Robin Cousins called Kim the winner during his comentary, and was a little surprised to find out the Adelina had the highest marks.
It takes me back to when Robin used to compete against a less creative East German skater, who often received higher marks than Robin.

An on-line parition has been started to complain about the marking.
Which has mostly signed by Korean supporters.

Wakey wakey.... I've never seen the curling team play this bad.
Dave's lads are gifting the gold medal to the Canadians

Apparently the winner got better artistic marks [/b]
