That they lose is not because they don't care its because they quite simply are not good enough when compared to the elite teams. Fuelled by a press who won't let the ghost of 1966 go away , all England squads are handicapped by an over expectant nation.

The womens team has done exceptionally well and deserves all the praise but it will be interesting to see how they will cope in future games as they are now a bigger target. You can't compare the mens game with the womens game either as there are far more tougher opponents around the world with higher skill levels and tactical awareness in mens international football. Womens football has raised its profile and I truly hope it continues to grow in the future

i apologise if I said the men don't care but I was just saying that maybe there is a small difference in the attitudes in the men's game and the attitudes that exists in the women's game and the women probably at toms have shown that they have an attitude that probably sometimes we question that doesn't exist in the men's team
and not only that for all their individual skills I feel that Lionesses' mental attitude does seem to be far more realistic.
They showed in the 72 hours between losing that semi and winning the play -offs they weren't prepared to let that defeat knock their confidence and sometimes I feel that when the men's team lose, they often dwell on it for too long. Whatever mark Sampson said to them they certainly came out last night and were prepared to give their all for that victory. and no victory is sweeter than putting one over the Germans.

Guys
I'm not going to comment on whether being paid $25m for a film or not is overpaid or if U2 are overpaid for their music, every industry is different each has it own perspective on what is acceptable or not, the point I was (or is) trying to make that if the lionesses have achieved what they have achieved without massive pay packets, then why aren't the guys showing the same level of attitude as they do every time they pull on that white shirt? Why didn't the golden generation achieve more than what they actually did? why didn't they reach World cup semi finals like the women did I just think that women showed a far better attitude and have shown what you CAN achieve if you prepared to adopt an attitude and not let egos or anything get in the way of your goal.
The "golden generation" got to the Quarter finals and lost on penalties, plus the women team didn't have to play in the round of 16 so they had a quicker route to the semi final, im not taking anything away from them though

I'll laugh if this ends up becoming a 4-4 Newcastle vs Arsenal moment from 2011. laugh
