Exactly William.

I have always said if the Welsh teams can enter then so can the Scottish teams and the Welsh teams i would say have got a surprising great amount of success Swansea coming from L2 to PL and staying there for 6+ seasons , Cardiff being in the PL a couple times.

If Cardiff and Swansea was in there own Welsh League they will probably dominate they seem to be just as good as Celtic and Rangers football wise.

I have always thought Cardiff was a better team then Swansea play off wise they could of been in the PL way before Swansea but some how wasn't then some how Swansea stayed in the top flight for years as for Cardiff they didn't they have not even stayed in it once as of yet.

Why? Woodward believes in the football pyramid and he stood up for it. He only became aware of the European Super League the day before it was announced and resigned his position because he couldn't support such a project.

If Rangers and Celtic really wanted to be in the Premier League it's hard to see how they could be stopped. The Northern Premier League has said it would accept them (at level 8) so if they joined and if they got promotion every season they could reach the PL in a mere 7 years. It's no different to Swansea and Cardiff being in the PL despite being in Wales and both of those clubs have been in the PL in recent times. This plan would however mean that Rangers and Celtic would have to start their life in England by playing the likes of Tadcaster Albion and Ramsbottom Utd.

Its slightly different.Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Wrexham and Merthyr Town all play in the English league as the Welsh Premier League was not set up until 1992. Before then there was no national league in Wales.Rangers and Celtic were founder members of the Scottish League in 1890.

Now DaiVd Moyes thinks a UNIFIED Briitsh League is a good idea would look a good idea on paper, but I reckon & suspect that will take years to put in place wouldn't be many clubs in Scotland or N ireland being up for it due to distances in travelling

Maybe a CL style British Cup might work if the League Cup was binned. That probably could guarantee an Europa League spot for someone who doesn't win the league or fa cup, but question remans just how far down the pyramid in each country would you go?

I like the sound of that Lovebabes and maybe it could be a way to get the Scottish Teams into the English League slowly.

I doubt that. Nasser Al-Khelaifi the president of PSG is also the chairman of BeIN Sports TV, who happen to have rights to broadcast the Champions League. So he had a good reason to stick with UEFA and I don't think the World Cup was part of his thinking.

Apart from the Qatar goverment fund QSI which funds him so pissing of his pay masters would not be good for his career politically

So, just how do you sanction thev6b witjout causing hsarm to the clubs and fans? To me there is no right answer to this other than points deduction next season but if gthey wwre banned from Europe that would hurt the club and fans more I think what would you guys do?

If the owners wwere individually fined the exact same amount each and then that money was pased down into the lower leagues (i'e. from Legue1 right throught the pyramid) would that be a solution?

RE: European Super League - Regenerated - 25-04-2021 21:19

They can't expel them as the other 14 clubs have voted for them to remain in the league. I think the points deduction would be too late now.

If possible I'd ban them from Europe for a couple of years, and lots of fans of the six clubs have said they'd agree to it. I also think large fines with that money being distributed down to the non-league clubs.

The executives / chairmen need to leave and replaced with new ones, although that's probably unlikely. There is distrust there though now among the other 14 and that trust isn't repaired easily. Maybe caps on salaries and maybe even a transfer ban for a season or two.

It has to be a serious deterrent against them though. They've done wrong, they've abused trust and almost killed the game, or begun the killing of it. Strong words and terms, but I'm just echoing what many pundits have already said.
