The Ukrainian's have said that about 15,000 Russians troops have died.
America say the true figure is about half that figure.

So the Russian figure just looks about correct.

It looks as though Putin may have found a way out. Russia’s defence ministry said today that the focus in Ukraine is now on the liberation of the Donbas region. This may mean that they try to take all of the Donbas, pursue some peace offer that leaves the rest of Ukraine alone, then turn around and claim that taking Donbas was the only real target all along and declare that the operation has ended in total victory.

The railway lines in Belarus that lead to Ukraine have been sabotaged in at least 24 places, stopping the Russians from using those railway routes to supply their forces in Ukraine.
