92% is good but have the Russians released the data to back it up?

I'm wondering if most of us are looking for a vaccine being around 95 effective before taking up on it or waiting to see if the Oxford one is far more effective than others. I agree with the stance the Govenment has on takeup but wonder how long it will be before they turn round and say it is compulsory.
But at the same time, many probably would feel that the vaccine would also should be able to work acroos all age groups.
And i don't know how many of us have come across any MSM that comes from antti - vaxxers or have spoken to people who feel that way, but i would say it probably is not an easy battle to stop those kind of posts, because if you take just one post down from that argument there will always be more that surface to replace it. You will have a hard convincing pepole of that nature.

No need to look at the Moderna vaccine - the woman leading our vaccine purchases decided not to buy that one. Too busy telling her venture capitalist friends what medicines we were investigating so they could invest and make obscene profits I suppose

Well, Biden did say he had “a Plan”...

Turns out the plan was to call all the various research teams to say, “It’s done. The fat bastard is finished. You can issue your press release now.”

it looks a better vaccine than the pfizer one at the moment, good to know the smart people in our government decided not to buy any,
Moderna is on average 94.5% effective, it lives for a month in a fridge at + 2-8, all there data is going to be published in peer-reviewed scientific journal by the end of Nov, they are so confident in the data they expect it to be the first vaccine to get authorized in as little as 4 weeks time,

here is a list of what the uk gov has spent our money on so far

The UK government has agreed deals for 340 million doses of vaccine from six companies:

Adenovirus vaccines—100 million doses being developed by Oxford University through AstraZeneca (with as many as 30 million doses available by September) and 30 million doses from Janssen

mRNA vaccines—30 million doses from BioNTech/Pfizer

Protein adjuvant vaccine—60 million doses from GSK/Sanofi Pasteur and 60 million doses from Novavax

Whole inactivated virus vaccine—60 million doses from Valneva, with an option to acquire a further 40 million doses if the vaccine proves safe and effective.

Just hope for our sakes this astrazenica one will be just as effective and easier to transport than the pfizer one
