RE: UFC - groundnpound - 10-07-2012 01:12 Less of the Carwin talk and get the scores up Mitchy! Your allowed to be pissed off every now and again! 148 was awful. First we had the little lad jumping around the place dressed as the hulk, who put on one of the worst fights of the year when he got in the cage! Then we had a complete farce of a fight that lasted seconds, a total disgrace puting Mckenzie in with Mendes. Then Kim giving up with injury after no time, a messed up nutcase ruining a legend's last night in the octagon and the biggest anti climax of a main event you've ever seen! Stinker of a show. Cung Le was the stand out fighter of the night for me. RE: UFC - groundnpound - 10-07-2012 15:32 UFC 148: The Letdown http://blog.chron.com/fighting/2012/07/ufc-148-the-letdown/ The man talks sense. I never expected Silva/Sonnen II to be as memorable as their first fight and it wasn't but I enjoyed the fight. I always thought it was a one fight show, the main event and that turned out be true so I'm not as disappointed as you were. I agree with you on the boring opener, Mendes/McKenzie and particularly Forrest Griffin acting a twat. RE: UFC - groundnpound - 13-07-2012 13:56 Sonnen to move up to light heavyweight? He said "This is simply an option to start over by changing weight class,My mentors have done it, and it could happen. I would go up to 205. Jon Jones. There are some great guys at 185, but traditionally and historically, it is a good way to get a fresh start and start over." On a third Silva fight "If I had the chance to fight him again, I would definitely take it, I am appreciative of him and of the chance he gave me to fight him again and the first time. I was very good for Anderson, but Anderson was very good for me too." RE: UFC - groundnpound - 14-07-2012 23:49 Bisping vs Stann - UFC 152 Toronto - Sep 22nd. Great fight lads. |
