As much as i'd love to agree with all this...

I fear this might be one fight too far for Ricky. Malignaggi is quicker and has such a good left jab, it'll wear him down. My heart does want Ricky to win, but my head is saying Malignaggi...

Come on, Ricky has lost once to the best Pound for pound best fighter in the world, who furthermore was more natural at the weight...

Malignaggi has a pea shooter punch and Ricky will walk straight through him, push him up against the ropes, swarm him and finish him by the eighth...

Look as much as Mayweather is a Twxt, he has never been beaten and has always found a way to win against many great fighters of the period... So yeah, Ricky lost to him (Up at Mayweather's natural weight), but Malignaggi isn't even in the same class as Mayweather, in fact he's about a million miles away.

The only thing that worries me is Ricky looked a little drawn at the weigh-in and I hope he hasn't left it all in the gym?

Ricky did look a little drawn but he's dead on the weight and Paulie is a pound under - i just think that Malignaggi's speed will be the decisive factor; i think a lot of people are underestimating him because a) he's not that well known here in the UK and b) he plays the role of the villain so naturally people who are split on who to support will lean away from him.

It should be an interesting one though...need some Red Bull to stay up though...

Malignaggi for me, the guy wants it more than Ricky and because of that he will get the win, if his hands can hold up!

If not, then its an easy win for Hatton, should be a good fight either way though, well worth the money.

LOL, all you Ricky doubters must be feeling a tad silly nowTongue, Ricky never looked in even a Millimetre of trouble... Outboxed him and from the second and took his heart away...

Like I said, come on guys, he lost to Mayweather who is and was a true modern great with genuine power... Malignaggi, isn't even in the same class, and my Nanna punches harder.Big Grin

What were you thinking? Ricky is a true champion who was beaten by the best, but to think that someone of Malignaggi's class would trouble him is a little harsh considering what Ricky has done in his illustrious carreer at 140 to date.

I have to say I feel a bit sorry for Pauly, I think he would have made it to a decision, but it would have been a landslide!

Even he had to admit that he was completely outclassed...

Now depending on the Pacquiao fight, if you were to ask me if Ricky beats Dela Hoya, I may not be so confident.Sad

Yeah i think Malignaggis trainer Buddy Mcgirts own ego caused him to stop the fight, he should of let him see it out to the end. Being stopped is lot more damaging to a fighters confidence than losing by a decision.

Against Cotto, blood was streaming into Malignaggis eye from the first round, he then fought the last few rounds with a broken jaw, yet they did not pull him out of that one.

Good win for Hatton, he dominated him from the second round, he looked very good, not rushing in and leaving himself space to land clean punches.
