Is it as before, where you're able to begin a download and then it fails part way through? Sometimes I can get a download going, maybe even up to about 75% through it and it just dies. Lately though, I've been getting a message saying there's not enough download slots for free members. Then I try again and it says try again in two minutes. When I do, same error again. The "not enough download slots" message is just due to the fact that too many people are trying to download stuff at the same time. I get this message sometimes. You just have to keep trying. Its best to do downloads during the daytime when there are less users. Thats exactly the problem I had with my AOL browser,it was bloody frustrating. Then started to use a diferent browser and havent had a problem since. RE: Rapidshare - Scotsman - 11-11-2009 18:32 I'll try Chrome, Opera or Safari and see what happens. Not touching IE with a barge pole. RE: Rapidshare - Scotsman - 12-11-2009 21:08 Tried it on Google Chrome, same old story. Download cut out at about 10%. I know beggers can't be choosers but is there a reason you lovely uploaders don't use Megaupload? It's free to upload and there's never any issues with it. RE: Rapidshare - mrwotzup - 13-11-2009 09:41 Sorry to hear youre still having Problems. The only other things I can suggest is - Prehaps Download using a different Server (Under Advanced settings) - Could it be your Firewall/AntiVirus causing Problems? - Prehaps consider using a Download Manager. I know Rapdshare have thier own but not sure if available to free Users. Cant really recommended one as I dont use one myself but prehaps someone else can (or failing that Google ) Good Luck RE: Rapidshare - Scotsman - 13-11-2009 23:34 Thanks for your tips wotzup, I'll try it out. RE: Rapidshare - fatsoburger999 - 14-11-2009 07:32 Try "free download manager" at download.com it captures rs files etc, and has resume etc. Orbit is best for rs premium though. RE: Rapidshare - Scotsman - 14-11-2009 14:19 Thanks Fatso, I'll have a look. RE: Rapidshare - Scotsman - 14-11-2009 16:24 OK so I have the free download manager but it doesn't seem to be downloading Rapidshare links properly, I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what. I tried pasting the initial RS link in and it just DL'ed the file in 2 seconds but it wasn't the file obviously. Then I tried the RS file you get after waiting for 120 seconds and it just did the same thing. |
