Just as well Hotel Voyeur D/Time and The Chat don't start until 1.30pm and 1pm respectively, wouldn't want them to offend anyone!!

i think that the 11am thing is good in it's own way but it's not the end of the world if you don't obey it. after all these same soldiers were told to stop for are the ones who fought for freedom of thought and speech. personally i was in the shower at 11am and it was silent anyway but i would have only stopped watching tv or whatever had i remembered. this must mean im disgusting and disrespectful. then again i am grateful for what these people did and i donated WITHOUT buying a poppy therefore meaning more of my money went to the charity.

on the other hand as seth said, how many people in shopping malls etc stop just because they feel they have to for fear of being ostrisized. how many forgein people actually know what we do it all for.

at the end of the day as long as you never forget what happened and the true horror of it and you are grateful for it isn't that the main thing, not whether you show that gratitude at 11 on the 11th or not?

If it's any consolation, the sound on BangBabes (912) isn't working.

On a more practical note, I wonder if the squaddies in bases across the UK, Cyprus, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ascension, Falklands, etc, have access to these channels ? They are putting themselves on the line for us, do they get the right to access the same range of broadcasts ?

Not unless they pipe it to them especially.

Might be worth a note in the suggestion box though Wink

Is it wrong that this turned me on...Shy

Yes.

But if you stand in the corner and shout 'Hail Mary' for an hour, God will forgive you.

Oh I'll hail mary alright...

Well TBH I suspect you'll find that the channels hadn't given it any thought.

Seriously though, does anyone know if the forces get what we take for granted ? When they are on UK bases ? When they are in bases abroad ? I'd bet money they get BBC, but is there some misguided attempt to impose moral standards ?

When it comes to these sorts of things, I've never met a soldier with 'moral standards' in my life.
