Ok, yes the vid is loaded into my pc. and im uploading, and have done caps, (with vlc player!) will it take extra time to grab the thumbnails with windows media player, and how long? it sounds complicated,

It's not complicated - all you do is play the vid you want to upload with Windows Media Player Classic, go to File and then click Save Thumbnails. It takes like 5 seconds then it's done!

OK!! With vlc player you are only capturing 1 screen shot at a time, and with media player you have to print screen it, crop it etc.. so vlc is the best option to capture large screen caps, but if you were to also use the thumbnail maker software you can capture the whole content of the video, its only used as an identifiation for the video after all, nothing more than that. You cannot GRAB SCREEN CAPS FROM THE THUMBNAILS THERESELVES. So do your best screen caps with vlc then put the thumbnails cap at the beginning or end of the caps as to show an example of the video. I dont use Nero so i am not familiar with it, sorry i cannot help any further. As we are all indivuidual cappers and vid uploads we all have our own techniques, so the best way is to do what you feel happy with.. But just remember sometimes and mostly all of the time Presentation is the BEST!!!

lol, you cant have tried very hard then.

Classic Media centre download page. This is the homecinema version and is much improved on the standard player. DL the version based on your operating system. 32bit or 64bit.

Here is a dummy's guide to making thumbnails in classic media player. If you still get stuck then there is no hope for you. Tongue

Wow! Even i can cap easier than that! Try downloading vlc player, then you wont have to bother with paint, and it auto saves as jpg's you can crop with windows photo gallery, its faster than photoshop, which i also have but hardly ever use for the forum. Smile
