No, a remark like that wouldn't constitute libel. It's just a subjective opinion that doesn't allege any erroneous facts which may be damaging to your reputation. It's not even singling you out as a person, but says "people like Bluearmy". No lawyer would attempt to argue that a vague statement like this constituted libel.

OK So are you saying I/we now have free licence, to make remarks about certain people if it contains the word "Like" in the name of subjective opinion obviously! I mean that wouldn't offend anyone would it?

Vague statement or not, I do not like the insinuation against myself, its wrong of yourself and Moderators to let something like that stand, if only on the grounds that it could be influential to others!

I am no legal expert, so thanks for clearing that up Admin, but I am not going to stand by and let people make insinuations against me, as I fear no one would!

I just have one question, are you defending him or the forum?

I'm not defending either. I'm merely pointing out that a remark as mild as 'volatile' could never be construed as libellous.

It was kind of a rhetorical question, but thanks anyway Smile

Lol, every time I read a response from 'admin' on any subject it makes me think that he's not actually a human being but a rather poorly programmed piece of software.

All the better message boards allow off-topic sub-forums. If you don't like threads non-babe related then you don't have to look at them.
