The hurt locker was a great one for me, I put it through my surround sound and it was amazing.
The first explosion was just mad... I recommend!
Termanator salvation is another I recommend, wasn't as good as 2 but Christian Bale makes it work. A very good actor, if your a fan of his work I would get The Machinist. A very good watch.

Just got the film The Rock on blu ray, i have this on dvd but a mate of mine told to pick up a copy of as the picture quality is amazing, so i manage nto find it really cheap and i have to say on blu ray its amazing. For a film that came out in the late 90's the picture and transfer quality on to blu ray is amazing and sound too is equally as good. I recommend this film on blu ray i your a fan of this kind of genre. Might try ad see if i can pick up the film I Robot if i can find it really cheap.

It's easy to list classic Disney or Pixar films as demo material although that could be down to animation being easier to transfer and them willing to spend vast amounts of money on the process

The best live action one I've seen is the Wizard of Oz, the time that went into that must have been incredible. Every frame is stunning. Casablanca and No Country For Old Men both look awesome too

And Kalel I think the Back to the Future trilogy is meant to be out this Christmas. Personally I'm hoping for some kind of flux capacitor box for them Big Grin

http://www.highdefdigest.com/ is a really good site for checking out blu ray releases. It's American so you usually get to read a review before the movie comes out over here

A must on Blu Ray is Band of Brothers it can get a bit grainy in places but with all the movement and handheld shots and explosions it doesn't really matter plus the sound is amazing and it's only £35 for the whole lot, bargin.
Battlestar Galactica to is fraking quality on Blu Ray,sound, picture the whole package it is a bit steep at £115 but you do get everything, including the mini series from a few years back and Razor and there's a few unrated extended episodes and a shit load of extras.
If you like a bit of over the top gore filled entertainment i whole heartedly recommend Zombie Strippers this is a demented piece of cinema well worth seeing in high def, Robert Englund is hilarious and you get Jenna Jameson as a stripping zombie what more do you need to know.

Just ordered iron man on blu ray play.com and amazon have it now for a tenner. I already have it on dvd, but i heard the picture transfer from dvd to blu ray is really good. I only usually re buy films to blu ray if they have done a good job on the transfer, plus i heard even the extras are in blu ray too which is a extra bonus can't wait for the second one and i bought the film the hangover in blu ray for a tenner too been told its supposed to be funny so am taking a chance and buying it. I bought the blu ray edition as it has the cinema cut and extended cut of the film on blu ray. Hope the film really is good.

Picked up iron man and the hangover, had a quick look to see what there like and picture quality is amazing, the colours are rich and deep and picture really crisp. Picked them up for ten quid each. I highly recommend picking these two up. will let know the hangover is like but looks really funny.
