This game is on my list, but I can't play online so is the singleplayer solid enough?
By that, I mean at least 15 hours or so for a first-time story finish? Multiple endings?
I saw an IGN review the other day that mentioned the game had "a few minor bugs." Are these graphical, or gameplay related?
Finally, are there many online only achievements?
Regards in advance. Smile

There are a few minor bugs with game but, i think its a little both with graphics and gameplay. Rockstar are releasing a patch to fix all the bugs and there giving a outfit for your character as reward for putting any problems with the game not sure when it will be but its supposed to be soon, i think there are online achievements if am wrong someone will correct me.

I just finished the single player and I would say it's a very solid and very enjoyable game with a hell of a good story, there does seem to be only one ending but even after the end there's still a lot of things to clear up (unless you do all the side missions during the playthrough) The in-game stats say I have played for 1 day 19 hours 31 minutes & 2 seconds but i have done a few side missions since the story finished.
Rockstar are one company that always deliver on the single player and don't just give you a few generic missions to pad things out while they concentrate on multiplayer,as for the "few minor bugs" it seemed fine to me,maybe it's an online thing, there are 9 online achievements plus 10 more if you download the free "Outlaws to the end" co-op pack.
I would say the game is well worth buying for the single player alone, there is a lot of online/co-op content but i hardly ever bother with that unless I want every single achievement/trophy.
Hope this helps.

So I take it this game is worth getting?

RE: Red Dead Redemption - *Kal-El* - 02-08-2010 17:35

Am nearly at the end of game now, just about to start the missions with him getting his family back, haven't even started the online stuff, plus theres a couple DLC's coming out in a couple months for the game. And still have a good few side missions to do too, this game wipes the floor with GTA 4, hope theres another game in the pipe line Smile.

Rockstar Games has dated the first of four additional downloadable packs for Red Dead Redemption it announced last month.

Dubbed the Legends and Killers Pack, players will get nine new multiplayer maps, a new Tomahawk weapon, additional trophies and achievements, and eight new playable multiplayer characters from Red Dead Revolver, 2004's western title released for PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
