He'll shag anything. My granny wouldn't be safe. We wanted a hard manager and that what we got. Don't forget all the good things that have come from Capellos reign. Like no mobiles, no Wags. Capello was the opnly one putting the effort in (even if it was from the sidelines) Hodgson is on standby to take over. But Harry Hotspur has said that he would like the job RE: Next England manager - brummie - 28-06-2010 17:35 Frankly I think you can change managers all you like, Sven McClaren Capello and more besides have all failed to get England players to produce on the world stage. I think we need to stop deluding ourselves by talking up palyers like Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney as being 'world class' players-wheres the evidence for that. Yes they can look good in qualifiers against the likes of Azerbijan and Andorra but the bottom line is when it comes to playing the top teams in the big games England players just aint good enough. The premier league maybe the best league in the world bit that is mainly down to the foreign players in it. And therein lies the main cause of englands problems- too many foreign players. The goalkeepers are a good example Rob Green never in a million years will be a top class keeper,David James plays in a relegated Portsmouth side. Only Joe Hart looked a good keeper last season and that was only because he was on loan at Birmingham if he atayed at Man c he would have just sat on the bench and wasted away. Top premier teams these days would rather take the easy option of buying in foreign talent than developing their own youngsters. Yes Capello made some mistakes when it mattered and should probably go but don't expect his successor to win anything until the more deep seated problems of football are adressed RE: Next England manager - Hamish McSporran - 28-06-2010 17:40 Fabio is doing a good job. Let him stay! (Besides changing managers has never worked before). RE: Next England manager - steven6 - 28-06-2010 18:06 Should be capello RE: Next England manager - mitchell - 28-06-2010 19:01 RE: Next England manager - emmajanefan - 28-06-2010 19:35 I vote for Capello to stay! Just the players wanted the good life and didn't want to play for Capello in the end. I hope he does stay and gets rid of the shit! RE: Next England manager - linwood louis - 28-06-2010 19:46 TONY PULIS would be awesome as England manager. RE: Next England manager - waycov - 28-06-2010 20:07 Another vote for Harry Redknapp here. RE: Next England manager - stato - 28-06-2010 22:42 super Ian Holloway. RE: Next England manager - seth - 28-06-2010 23:14 It's not the managers fault if the players aren't good enough. Capello took us to where we are as a football nation, a top 16 team but nothing more. He should stay and get another shot at the Euros. |
