This was captured with XVidCap program using Ubuntu linux. I cannot capture sound with it or capture with a full screen display. It does capture on the fly though.
If I want the sound as well, I capture with gtk-recordMyDesktop, also linux, but it is not quite so easy to use and processses the file after capture ends, which takes some time.
This does not work in full screen mode either.
If I want full screen mode and sound, I record to external dvd recorder from S-video output on video card but this takes some time to set up.
I always use linux and firefox when on the internet, no virus or other security problems to worry about.
