Elbow Seldom Seen Kid is a great album and so is Paul Wellers 22 Dreams, although can't remember for certain if this was out 2008 or 2007 but either way I love it.

Must say i very much enjoyed The Chinese Democracy by Axl Rose (i refuse to call them Guns N' Roses), also liked Elbow - The Seldom Seen Kid and Brandi Carlile - My Story.

In my opinion Hail Destroyer by Cancer Bats was the best album of the year but honourable mentions go to Avenged Sevenfold by Avenged Sevenfold and All Hope is Gone by Slipknot. Oh and there is also Red Harvest by Bloodsimple and Blooddrunk by Children of Bodom. And if the 2008 special edition of The Blackening by Machinehead counts then that is definately in the top 3.
