Ah but that all depends on who is browsing Tongue
Isn't difficult to get most browsers to report they are something else Big Grin

As for those recomending Chrome on here... Notice a decreasing amount of space on your hard drives after every update? If Google can't get the updater to remove the old revision when installing, which is fairly basic, then it makes you wonder what other basics are wrong. If you want something similar use Safari. Opera is fine and stable as long as you put up with the occasional functionality/layout issues on some sites (not down to Opera but bad web dev). Firefox is stable out the box but those tempting addons... Big Grin

That leaves IE and TBH I can't think of any reason to use IE other than to use a completely out of date and badly developed website that supports nothing but annoyed

My personal choice?
Depends on what I'm doing seeing as I have them all .Normally it'll be Firefox due to those annoying little addons I find as I'm happy to trade them in for a little instability, besides most browsers get a little unstable when you have a couple of dozen tabs open (at the moment I have 27 tabs open in Firefox and 8 in Opera). If it wasn't for addons then Opera would be first choice but gets demoted to 2nd. Chrome would come a distant 4th just behind Safari due to it's install issues and IE trailing in last (no I haven't beta tested 9 yet before anybody asks, enough bugs in 8 without wasting time finding them in an unsupported browser)

As for the original issue. Could be cache issue, could be an addon, could simply be a timeout issue from the server here (I've been getting a few timeouts lately but put it down to multitasking things this end and trying to use more bandwidth than I have :blushSmile

opera and ie 8 for me. i dunno why people slag of ie as i find it fast and stable for hit and run browsing. for my regular sites i use opera for its speed dial function.
and yeah i have beta tested 9 and wasnt that impressed, theres a lot of stuff missing in the layout, for example a simple top corner search bar. i dont always wanna open a new tab just to do a quick search... other than that i found it fast at loading and displaying flash and other types of gfx, in fact its a vast improvement on some of the previous browser iterations.

would i recommend it? not yet.

A weird problem I've been getting ocassionally recently with firefox and adobe flash plug in.
Both are latest versions. Sometimes when I view the sexstation flash player, it locks up before it finishes loading.
No amount of refreshing or going to another site and coming back will get it working again.
I then go to the TeaseMeTv site and when their flash player loads, I see this message which I did not see before

I then just refresh this page and it all starts working again ok.
I then go back to sexstation and that is ok now as well (until the next time)

I used to like Internet Explorer 6 before I started using Firefox.
Never liked IE7 or IE8

RE: Internet Explorer Problem - Pedro* - 29-10-2010 17:06

Have been away for a few days and was hoping that the IE ‘glitch’ would sort it’s self out but alas it’s not to be as I am having the same problem with the random crashing.Huh

I have bit the bullet and am now experimenting using different web browsers (Chrome at the moment) and everything seems to be OK (so far).Smile

Thanks to all you guys who responded to my original post and for the browser recommendations.Cool

Yes I've also had the same kind of problems and I've become disillusioned with Firefox. Not just because of that but because for me Firefox got very slow. Even loading to start a session is slow. I'm currently checking out Safari, but I may have a look at Chrome and Opera as well.
