RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - jungleboy - 16-01-2009 21:14 Yeah, they will have scouted willie from the last match, so I don't think they will use him in as many plays this time. Definately use him as a dummy runner though. Ravens D wont know what to do. Don't want to take too much away from the ravens offense but, Flacco has been just awesome this year. They wouldn't have had a sniff without him imo. If we can get the blitz going and put him under pressure, im sure we will be fine. RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - Gambino21 - 16-01-2009 23:34 Prediction time!! Baltimore @ Pittsburgh – Both teams have a great defense so I think it will be hard for anyone to get their running game going. I think whoever makes the least amount of mistakes between big ben and flacco will win the game and this might be one game too far for the rookie. Steelers 20- 17 Ravens Philadelphia @ Arizona - Hopefully this will be a shoot-out and if Warner can pick up the blitzes, that the Eagles show, he will be able to connect with Boldin and Fitzgerald and put points on the board. Cardinals D has been great against the run in the play-offs so it doesn’t bode well for Westbrook although he will be a factor with the short and screen pass. McNabb will air it out. Cardinals 34 – 28 Eagles RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - jungleboy - 17-01-2009 00:05 Yeah I agree mate. My scores are going to differ in the cardinals game, as I think that the Eagles will edge it slightly. Their offence hasn't been great this year, and that is not going to bode well going up against a well drilled side like the cardinals. Defensively they have done ok post season, but like someone said they haven't come up against a qb in form who can find his wr's. Cardinals 12 - 17 Eagles Baltimore are going into this game as the underdogs and flacco is going to have a lot of pressure on him and may surrender the ball a few times. Ed Reed is going to be the key in the d for the ravens and i think he will pressure ben a lot into throwing a few dodgy passes. Its a game for the qb's and i think thats where it will be won and lost. Ravens 23 - 25 Steelers lol! RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - toffeemen - 17-01-2009 11:30 I think it'll be eagles 24 cards 10 ravens 13 steelers 10 just can't c pittsburgh beatin the ravens 3 times and i think the previous 2 meetings were decided by a combined 5 points, and the way mcnabb is throwin the ball can't c the cards stoppin him despite their d playing well the last few games RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - jungleboy - 19-01-2009 19:43 Gambino spot on with your predictions mate, i got the card wrong, and toffee, unlucky mate! Did anyone see this hit.....Pain! RE: Steelers for the Super Bowl - Gambino21 - 19-01-2009 23:44 How good was the Cardinals game!! thats what i love about the nfl theres no boring 0-0 or 1-1 games. What a hit McGahee took!! good news he was o.k after though. There was some other monster hits in the steelers game aswell. I think everyone knew that asking flacco to go and win in pittsburgh against that defense was asking too much but Kurt Warner will be a different proposition. Your steelers will start as favourites jungleboy but as you know favourites doesn't mean anything in the nfl, look at the patriots last year. ....."any given sunday"!! Super Bowl prediction: Arizona 34 - 34 Pittsburgh We're going to Over-Time!! |
